Senior Research Analyst

The Senior Research Analyst role will collaborate closely with other members of the research team to assist brokers on research needs, produce recurring and custom research content, and work on data collection and database management. The role will report to the Mid-Atlantic Research Director. Research duties will cover the Greater Philadelphia region, including Philly and its surrounding suburbs, Southern New Jersey, Delaware, and the I-81 Corridor. The ideal candidate will be based in Newmark’s Center City Philadelphia office, with occasional travel to our newly opened King of Prussia office.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Contribute to a growing research platform covering all asset types in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
2. Maintain data integrity and analyze proprietary and third-party resources to create market-leading insight and client deliverables.
3. Participates in establishing procedures for acquiring and managing real estate market data.
4. Support presentations, pitches, and whitepapers with original analysis and creative insights.  
5. Understands all research-related data sources including but not limited to, tax record information, ownership and lender information, and occupier databases.
6. Participates in evaluating new resources and existing products.
7. Track and analyze data in support of global, regional, and local research initiatives.
8. Promote the research function and its capabilities to the brokers / sales staff, including trainings on new resources.
9. Mentor, train and coach more junior research staff members.
10. May perform other duties as assigned.
