Principal Data Engineer

You will play a key role in designing and implementing our data architecture, enabling analytics, insights, and AI/ML across our platform. You’ll also be responsible for uplifting our capabilities in data management, quality, and governance, working with data owners and implementing processes and automation to ensure that the data is reliable, consistent, and trustworthy.

You will

1. Collaborate across team and camp boundaries to drive alignment on our data strategy and ensure that data owners and data consumers are empowered by our data platform to deliver value to their customers
2. Ensure Team Leads and engineers in your camp are supported, productive, enjoy their work, have clear remits, and help them to resolve issues to improve culture and engagement to maximise their impact on our mission.
3. Ensure a steady flow of consistent communication within and across all of our Camps. Facilitate knowledge-sharing, plan visibility and alignment of large initiatives between the Camps and the VP of Engineering.
4. Mentor the Team Leads, Staff Engineers and the rest of the engineers in your camp, to support their needs and development, and to drive consistent, sustainable technical excellence.
